Biographer Alleges Aaliyah Was Drugged Before Fatal Flight

A new book titled, Baby Girl: Better Known As Aaliyah, about the life and death of beloved R&B singer Aaliyah, makes shocking allegations that the singer was drugged before boarding the fatal flight that ended her life, according to The Daily Beast. In the text, which is published by Atria Books, author Kathy Iandoli includes the account of Kingsley Russell from the Abaco Islands, who says that he saw a sleeping Aaliyah being carried aboard the flight prior to the crash. Russell, who was 13 at the time, suggested that Aaliyah was asleep as a result of a pill she'd been given by a member of her team. Russell also said that the late singer had previously objected to boarding the flight. “They took her out of the van; she didn’t even know she was getting boarded on a plane,” Russell said in an excerpt of the book obtained by the publication. “She went on the airplane asleep.”
