Disney released the first full-length trailer for the live-action remake of The Lion King on Wednesday.
The film, directed by Jon Favreau, stars Donald Glover as Simba; Beyoncé as Nala; and James Earl Jones, who played Mufasa in the original 1994 animated film.
The clip begins with Scar, voiced by Chiwetel Ejiofor, warning young Simba, “Life’s not fair, is it my little friend? While some are born to feast, others spend their lives in the dark. Begging for scraps.”
It ends with classic characters Pumbaa and Timon briefly singing “The Lion Sleeps Tonight.”
The Lion King will be released on July 19. Check out the trailer below.
