Fox News personality Tucker Carlson said the “endless chain of migrant caravans” makes America ‘dirtier.’”
The host made the controversial remarks on his Tucker Carlson Tonight show Thursday, according to HuffPost.
“We have a moral obligation to admit the world’s poor, they tell us, even if it makes our own country poorer and dirtier and more divided,” he opined.
Carlson also said that for economic purposes, the country needs more skilled workers, but immigrants coming into the country through these migrant caravans have a high school education and less and that past leaders are telling Americans to “shut up and accept immigrants.”
Carlson also said, “Immigration is a form of atonement. Previous leaders of our country committed sins ― we must pay for those sins by welcoming an endless chain of migrant caravans. That’s the argument they make.”
Last week, the host told former DNC communications director Luis Miranda that immigrants are replacing Americans.
OK, so my concern is for my fellow Americans. And they can’t afford to have children. But rather than fix their problems or even think about them, we are like, ‘We’ll just import new children.’ Does that seem like a sort of a*s-backward way to approach this?”
