Ex-Police Chief Who Compared Blacks To ISIS, Arrested By FBI For Hate Crime

Frank Nucera

Retired New Jersey police chief Frank Nucera was arrested and charged by FBI officials on Wednesday for committing a federal hate crime.

Nucera, who presided over the Bordentown police department retired in January after the attorney general of New Jersey caught wind of an investigation launched into the officer.

CNN reports an officer within the department recorded the racist cop’s bigotry for a year and handed the material over to the U.S. Department of Justice. Among the allegations against Nucera was a 2016 arrest in which he used racially motivated excessive force. According to the criminal complaint, the 33-year police veteran reportedly assaulted a Black teenager after arresting him and another young man for allegedly attempting to leave a hotel room without paying.

After the arrest, Nucera reportedly slammed the teen’s head into a metal door jamb.

“I’m f**king tired of them, man,” the 60-year-old was heard saying at the scene. “I’ll tell you what, it’s gonna get to the point where I could shoot one of these motherf**kers. And that n**ger b**ch lady, she almost got it.”

According to the complaint, Nucera was a fan of regularly employing racial slurs and inciting hateful, violent commentary towards the Black community.

“The n**gers are like ISIS, they have no value,” Nucera said to a fellow officer according to an affidavit. “They should line them all up and mow ’em down.”

He was also said to use police dogs to taunt Black people. If convicted, Nucera could face up to 20 years in prison.
