Judge Orders Texas Police to Release All Sandra Bland Evidence by January

A federal judge has given officials in Waller County, Texas until January to turn over evidence related to the traffic stop, jailing and eventual death of Sandra Bland.

U.S. District Judge David Hittner’s order is in response to a subpoena from attorneys who filed a wrongful death suit on behalf of Bland’s mother.

The subpoena, served last month called for the submission of all reports and recordings from Prairie View police related to the Bland incident be released by Nov. 10.
