Mall Shooting Deaths in Portland and Atlanta

Tuesday was a deadly day at shopping malls in Portland, Ore., and Atlanta, with at least three reported dead in Portland, including the gunman, and one reportedly slain in Atlanta.

According to NBCNews.com:

Lt. James Rhodes of the Clackamas County Sheriff’s Office said the gunman shot two people to death and also died, but he did not say how the gunman died. Rhodes said another person was wounded with a traumatic injury and sent to a hospital.

The shooting, which occurred around 3:20 p.m., during the busy holiday shopping season triggered panic at the Clackamas Town Center. The shooting took place in the food court near the Macy’s. Those in line to get their photos taken with Santa immediately dove for cover, KGW reported.

And MyFoxAtlanta.com reports:

One person was fatally shot at Underground Atlanta on Tuesday.

The shooting occurred around 7:30 p.m. Police are searching for at least two suspects.
