Well, well, well.
It looks like karmageddon has come to pay a lil’ visit to Martin Shkreli, the “pharma bro” best known for dramatically hiking the price of a drug used by AIDS patients and then acting like the world was crazy for cringing in horror. He recently made news after threatening the very nature of hip-hop by purchasing “Once Upon a Time in Shaolin,” the once-in-a-lifetime album the Wu-Tang released and said they would sell to only one lucky patron. That deal soon went south with the RZA unleashing his liquid swordz on Shkreli by explaining the arrangement was made prior to Shkreli demonstrating he was the pharma’s answer to Ebenezer Scrooge…and make note that is Scrooge BEFORE he was visited by all the ghosts.
Let’s fast forward to today when Wu fans everywhere can pull their skullies down, lace their Timbs up and chant “Wu-Tang clan ain’t nothing to f***.” Turns out that Shkreli might have put too much emphasis on C.R.E.A.M. He was arrested for securities fraud early Thursday, according to Newsweek. Whomp.
U.S. Attorney Robert Capers was expected to hold a press conference regarding this takedown on Thursday afternoon, according to the article.
But man, can we get that album though?
