Duchess of Sussex, Meghan Markle, gave birth to a baby boy Monday. The royal infant is her first child with husband, Prince Harry.
NBC reports the former actress went into labor early Monday morning, the palace announcing the birth later in the afternoon. Harry was by Markle’s side throughout the delivery. The baby weighed 7.3 lbs.
“It was amazing,” Harry said. “As every father and parent will ever say your baby is absolutely amazing… I’m just over the moon.”
The newborn is Queen Elizabeth II’s eighth great-grandchild and seventh in line to the throne, Prince Charles, Prince William, Prince George, Princess Charlotte, Prince Louis and Prince Harry.
