Michelle Obama

Former First Lady Michelle Obama will appear on “The Ellen DeGeneres Show” to mark the star’s 60th birthday, The Hill reports.

This will mark Mrs. Obama’s first TV interview since leaving the White House.

The show has two birthday-themed shows planned that will be “filled with people who are paying it forward,” featuring guests who participated in DeGeneres’s #OneMillionActsofGood campaign, according to the daytime talk show program’s announcement of the news Monday.

The 54-year-old former FLOTUS has been keeping a relatively low profile since making her exit from the White House in January 2017, despite being a frequent guest on DeGeneres’s show as first lady.

Back in 2016, Mrs. Obama even co-hosted the show, and in 2012, she faced off against the veteran talk show host in a push-up competition to promote her anti-childhood obesity initiative, “Let’s Move!”

Last year, the former first lady called DeGeneres “brave” and “kind” on the 20th anniversary of her coming out.

“Time and time again you have shown us what love really means,” she said.
