After months of online speculation about her marriage, it appears singer Monica has thrown in the towel. The T.I. and Tiny Friends and Family Hustle co-star filed for divorce from basketball player Shannon Brown this month, according to TMZ.
The couple secretly tied the knot in a November 2010 ceremony in Los Angeles but didn't go public with their nuptials until January 2011. The Browns hosted a second ceremony and reception for family and friends in July of that year.
They have a 5-year-old daughter together named Laiyah. The singer has two sons, Rodney, 13, and Romelo, 11, with rapper Rocko. Brown has a son, Christopher, from a previous relationship.
Rumblings of trouble within the marriage have been swirling for some time now. The last time Monica was seen on social media wearing her ring was Feb. 25.
The "Don't Take It Personal" sonsgstress will appear on the upcoming season of T.I. & Tiny: Friends & Family Hustle, which is set to hit the small screen April 15 on VH1.
