Mother of Tamir Rice to Testify Before Grand Jury

Officers in Tamir Rice Shooting Escape Charges

The mother of a 12-year-old Black child who was shot and killed by a white Cleveland police officer will testify before a grand jury soon.

Samaria Rice’s attorney says she will testify despite the family’s concerns about the investigation.

The family has accused the prosecutor of relying on biased experts who are in favor of police so charges won’t be brought against the officers involved.

Nov. 22 marks the one year anniversary of Tamir’s death.
