District Attorney Andrew Womble stated that Pasquotank County sheriff’s deputies were justified in the deadly shooting of Andrew Brown Jr. last month, CNN reports. “Mr. Brown’s death, while tragic, was justified because Mr. Brown’s actions caused three deputies to reasonably believe it was necessary to use deadly force to protect themselves and others,” Womble said.

A spokesperson for the LAPD confirmed Tuesday to CNN that there is, in fact, an active investigation into T.I.. However, an attorney representing the Georgia rapper, whose birth name is Clifford Harris, and his wife, Tameka “Tiny” Harris,” told the publication that his clients have not been contacted in regard to the investigation. Several women, many of whom are represented by attorney Tyrone A. Blackburn, have accused the hip-hop couple of sexual assault, sex trafficking, and drugging.
