NJ Governor Tries to Link Civil Rights To Gay Marriage

If there was a sketch parody of Jersey Shore, it would help the scene if Governor Chris Christie were a guest star. The often-quoted ambassador of the Garden State is already standing in front of the gunline after he said he would veto a gay marriage bill—and now has overstepped his boundaries. Black leaders are giving Christie sharp criticism after he said he would have been happy to have a “referendum on civil rights.”

“The fact of the matter is, I think people would have been happy to have a referendum on civil rights than fighting and dying in the streets in the South,” Christie said Tuesday at a news conference in Bridgewater, New Jersey. If man know anything is that he knows nothing at all, so it’s no surprise that Clueless Christie continues to offer color commentary.

While we don’t favor any new taxes, it seems that a noise pollution tax increase should be proposed. The good folks in New Jersey may hear less of their Governor and more of their progressive Mayor Cory Booker. A recent Quinnipiac poll showed that 52-percent of New Jersey voters favor gay marriage. If history lessons for politicians were instated—who should be the first to attend?
