Oprah Winfrey appeared on the Today Show on Monday to promote her upcoming film Lee Daniels' The Butler.

She also talked a bit about Trayvon Martin, offering some of her first public comments on the acquittal of George Zimmerman, who shot and killed the unarmed Black teenager.

"It's so easy during this time — Trayvon Martin, Trayvon Martin parallel to Emmett Till, let me just tell you. In my mind, same thing," Winfrey said, referencing the case of a Black teenager who was brutally murdered in 1955 for supposedly flirting with a White woman and whose killers were also acquitted.
