Parking Lot Altercation Erupts into Racial Attack (Video)

A quarrel over a parking spot at Santa Monica College in California turned into a physical altercation involving racial slurs, Los Angeles’ KABC-TV reports.

In a video taken Tuesday by a college student, a White man and a Black woman are seen on the school’s campus screaming at each other.

The video doesn’t capture the beginning of the clash, but the man can be seen and heard repeatedly calling the woman a “n*gger.”

“You don’t belong here, go back to South LA,” he yells at her.
Fredric Allan Shinerock, 80, was arrested for misdemeanor battery on school property, according to the report.

School officials are classifying the attack as a hate crime.

The video shows Shinerock kicking at the woman, while she hits him a few times. No one was seriously injured, according to KABC-TV.

“Santa Monica College is an institution that prides itself on inclusivity and diversity, and we will continue to do our utmost to uphold our commitment to provide a safe and inclusive learning environment,” college President Kathryn E. Jeffery said. “We will take immediate and evident action to reinforce to our students, college community and guests that there is no room for hate at Santa Monica College.”
