Singer Peabo Bryson is in recovery following a mild heart attack.
According to a rep for the R&B balladeer, Bryson, 68, was at his Georgia home when he suffered a mild heart attack Saturday morning (April 27).
“He is currently listed in stable condition and is awake and responsive,” says a rep for the acclaimed singer. “Both his medical team and family are optimistic for a speedy recovery. At this time, privacy is requested; however, the thoughts and prayers of friends and fans are welcomed and appreciated.”
Bryson won a Grammy Award in 1992 for his “Beauty and the Beast” duet with Celine Dion and another in 1993 for “A Whole New World” with Regina Belle.
The crooner celebrated his most recent birthday on April 13.
