Possible Persons of Interest Photos Released in Smollett Attack
Chicago Police release images of two persons of interest in the Jussie Smollett Attack

Chicago police released photos of two potential persons of interest in the alleged attack on Empire actor Jussie Smollett on Wednesday.

The images of the two silhouettes were captured on video near the scene of the reported incident.

“Police detectives have located surveillance cameras that show potential people of interest in the alleged assault and battery that was reported in the 300 block of E. North Water Street,“ the police told Page Six.

“While the video footage does not depict an assault, the individuals pictured are seen in the vicinity of the alleged criminal incident during the alleged time of occurrence,” the statement continued.

Chicago Police released images of two persons of interest in the alleged Jussie Smollett attack.

Smollett was reportedly attacked early Tuesday morning by two unidentified people who yelled racial and homophobic slurs at him. The actor received an outpouring of love on social media after reports of the alleged incident.

According to ABC 7 Chicago, authorities are investigating the alleged assault as a hate crime, and there are more than 10 detectives working the case. The police department spent hundreds of hours reviewing surveillance footage before finding the images of the potential persons of interest.
