Prince Harry is determined to make his marriage to American actress Meghan Markle work, refusing to ask his fiancée to sign a prenuptial agreement that could possibly protect his royal fortune.
The youngest son of Princess Diana, Harry received $18 million from his mother’s inheritance once he turned 30 years old, and reportedly has another $36 million in assets, according to Fox News. Markle, best known for her role on USA series Suits is reportedly worth $7 million.
“There was never any question in Harry’s mind that he would sign a pre-nup,” shared a friend of Harry’s to The Daily Mail. “He’s determined that his marriage will be a lasting one, so there’s no need for him to sign anything.”
Big brother William also refused to have wife, Princess Kate Middleton, sign a prenup. While prenuptial agreements are not legally enforceable on their own in the UK, The Jasmine Brand reports courts do take them into consideration during the divorce process.
