Sister: Prince Has No Known Will

Prince’s sister says the superstar musician had no known will and filed paperwork Tuesday asking a Minneapolis court appoint a special administrator to oversee his estate.

According to the The Minneapolis Star TribuneTyka Nelson, Prince’s only surviving full sibling, said in the court filing that immediate action was necessary to manage Prince’s business interests following his death last week.

The size of Prince’s fortune is unclear. He made hundreds of millions of dollars for record companies, concert venues and others during his career and his estate included about $27 million in property.

Authorities said there was no foul play in his death. Tyka Nelson’s motion lists herself and six half siblings and a deceased half-sister as his potential heirs. The filing states that his assets are unknown.
