R. Kelly performs on stage at the FOX Theater on December 27, 2016 in Atlanta, Georgia - USA
After spending three days behind bars on 10 charges of sex abuse, R. Kelly is out on bail. A woman from Romeoville, Illinois, posted $100,000 for Kelly to be released until his court date, reports USA Today.
Prosecutors hit Kelly, 52, last week with 10 counts of aggravated criminal sexual abuse. Reportedly, nine of the 10 counts involve females ranging in ages from 13 to 16. One is the subject of four counts, and there are four girls total listed as possible victims. One condition of the “Bump & Grind” singer’s bail prohibits him from having any contact with females under age 18.
Kelly now has a week to arrange payment of $169,000 in back child support or face another arrest. He will return to court March 6 for a hearing related to his child support debt.
After being released, Kelly grabbed a bite at McDonald’s and then headed to a cigar bar with his entourage, which included alleged victims Joycelyn Savage and Azriel Clary, The Root reports.
