Whether it is the Ku Klux Klan campaigning for neighborhood watch members or politicians calling our Black Presidenta snob,” racism and racist remarks seem to be a growing trend around the nation. Delaware State University is finding this to be true as three law enforcement agencies are investigating the origin of racist flyers found on the campus and in downtown Dover.

Investigators say on December 31, 2011 and January 3, 2012, the flyers were found in a Dover neighborhood. They showed a swastika next to a noose and contained a derogatory term aimed at African-Americans. Days ago, the same flyer was discovered on the DSU campus. The Delaware Department of Safety and Homeland Security, Dover police, and Delaware State University police are investigating.

It seems like there’s been a national increase in this type of activity, recently. How much of it is due to the upcoming election?
