It’s a sad day for woke fans of rapper Waka Flocka. During a recent interview on radio talk show “Sway in the Morning,” the locks-wearing “No Hands” rapper and reality star claimed he’s not Black.

The 31-year-old was asked by one of the show’s co-host if he preferred to be referred to as African-American, Black or Native American. He mentioned his grandparents were part of a Native American tribe.

Flaka prefaced his response with:

“I’m all of it,” he said. “I’m uneducated, so for me to say it like a college professor, I’m wrong. I’m uneducated. I’m confused.

“I’m damn sure not Black,” he continued. “You not gon’ call me Black. My grandmother is not Creole. I’m connected to a tribe. I’m from a tribe, not a country. It’s a big difference. It’s deep bro, trust me, it’s deep.”

Despite his seeming desire to distance himself from the culture, Flocka demonstrated indignation earlier in the week over the condemnation of former San Francisco 49ers quarterback Colin Kaepernick‘s protest against police brutality.

“That’s crazy, for you to tell somebody, ‘Yo, stand up to this flag.’ N**ga, you know what this flag did to us?” he asked during a Wednesday interview on Hot 97’s “Ebro in the Morning.”

“Like, when is it gonna come the time when these players is respected? You know what I’m saying? Even, like, Kaepernick,” he continued. “For shorty to even kneel down, bro. That’s deep. That’s deep. That ain’t got nothing to do with Black power, that’s deep. That’s human rights.”

He also called foul in light of ESPN anchor Jemele Hill’s suspension from the network. Hill was reprimanded after discussing the power of boycott in response to Dallas Cowboys’ owner Jerry Jones’ threat to bench players who didn’t stand for the anthem.

“Even when the girl got fired–suspended, it don’t matter, that sh*t made me delete my ESPN app. That sh*t made me go to Infinity and unsubscribe. That sh*t is foul. That’s crazy, bro.”

Flaka also used interracial dating as evidence Blacks don’t really have strife with Whites.
