Whispers of Jamie Foxx and Katie Holmes tying the knot began earlier this year, and a new report indicates the very private couple will soon become man and wife in the world’s most romantic city.
According to Radar Online, the pair has plans to marry in Paris next year, with one source claiming Holmes convinced the Oscar winner to make it official after dating quietly for the past five years.
“Paris is the city where they decided to go public with their romance after years of sneaking around,” a source claimed to Radar. “Jamie’s been a handful ever since they started secretly dating in 2013—but Katie’s convinced him to settle down, and they’re ready to make it official.”
The insider continued, “Katie has waited a long time to marry Jamie, and she’s now made it clear where she wants to get married and when. She’s desperate for a winter wedding in the City of Lights.”
Last May, sources told OK! regarding Foxx and Holmes, “They had some struggles after they decided to go public. It changed the dynamic of their relationship and briefly shook Katie’s identity as a proud single mom who didn’t need a man.”
Speaking of their alleged wedding plans, the source shared, “There’s talk of a small, intimate ceremony, but of course they want to make sure whatever they do goes off without a hitch.” The source also claimed that Holmes’ close friend Zac Posen would be designing her wedding gown and her daughter, Suri, would be her maid of honor.
“Suri is Katie’s top priority, and she wouldn’t think about getting married unless she was sure it would last,” the insider said. “Jamie has become really close to Suri over the past few years, and she truly sees him as a father figure, so thankfully she was over the moon when her mom told her.”
