New Central Park Karen Falsely Accuses Black Women Of ‘Beating’ Her

In a viral Tik Tok video captured by Alana Lambert, a woman can be heard making a phone call, seemingly to police, and telling them that Lambert and her friend, Shekeria Thomas, had beaten her. In an interview with The Daily Beast, Thomas and Lambert said that they encountered the woman while bike riding in Central Park. As they were about to leave, Lambert realized that she’d dropped her phone charger. As they circled back to get it, they said that the woman in the video picked it up and told them they had to prove it was theirs to get it back. “Things escalated quickly,” Lambert, said. “For about a minute or so I was trying to talk to her reasonably. But when she called the police, saying that we were threatening and beating her, I was just in disbelief.” A detective with the NYPD told the publication that there is no record of a 911 call being made during the incident.

It’s time.”

Internal Investigation Finds Officers Shouldn’t Have Fired Into Breonna Taylor’s Home

An internal probe into the shooting death of Breonna Taylor found that none of the officers should have fired their guns into Taylor’s Louisville apartment the night she was killed, ABC News reports. The findings contradict a previous report by senior officials with the Louisville Metro Police Department. “They took a total of thirty-two shots, when the provided circumstances made it unsafe to take a single shot. This is how the wrong person was shot and killed,” Sgt. Andrew Meyer of the department’s Professional Standards Unit explained in the most recent report.
