Democratic Sen. Kamala Harris of California officially launched her presidential campaign in Oakland on Sunday, discussing her platform and taking aim at President Donald Trump.

In front of more than 20,000 people, Harris, 54, talked about her time as a Bay Area prosecutor and senator, and said she was “running to be president of the people, by the people and for all people,” according to The New York Times.

Harris called for tax cuts for the middle class, and progressive policies such as debt free college and Medicare for all.

She also criticized the Trump administration on its foreign and domestic policies, and denounced racism, anti-Semitism, sexism and homophobia occuring around the country, according to NBC News.

“We are at an inflection point in the history of our world. We are at an inflection point in the history of our nation,” she said. “We are here because the American dream and our American democracy are under attack and on the line like never before.”

The senator said that she’s running for president because of her love for the country and that she wants to “fight for an America where the economy works for working people.”

“If I have the honor of being your president, I will tell you this: I am not perfect,” she said. “Lord knows, I am not perfect. But I will always speak with decency and moral clarity and treat all people with dignity and respect. I will lead with integrity. And I will tell the truth.”

Harris confirmed that she was running for president on Martin Luther King Jr. Day when she appeared on Good Morning America.
