Seth Rogen Apologizes for Blackface in ‘Good Boys’ Movie

Seth Rogen apologized for a child’s appearance in what looks like blackface for a movie he is producing called Good Boys.

According to a statement given to Entertainment Weekly, Rogen said: “I should start by saying this shouldn’t have happened, and I’m terribly sorry it did”. In that statement he went on to say once he discovered what happened it ended immediately and currently, conversations are taking place to make sure it doesn’t happen again.

Reportedly, the child who was in blackface a stand-in for Keith L. Williams. Last week, TMZ published photos of the child in blackface, who is also African-American, and reported people connected to the movie said it was not a blackface situation, but a situation trying to match Williams’ skin tone to the stand-in. Williams is an African-American child, who has acted in television shows like The Goldbergs and The Last Man on Earth. He has also acted in movies like Lemon and The Bachelors. According to IMDB, Good Boys is a comedy about a group of young boys on the cusp of becoming teenagers embark on an epic quest in the San Fernando Valley to fix their broken toy before their parents get home. The movie is scheduled to be released in 2019.

Rogen has been a huge presence on the comedy movie scene. Some of the movies he has acted in are considered cult classics.
