Shot Fired at Obama Campaign Headquarters

Reuters

A single gunshot was fired at an Obama campaign headquarters, according to multiple reports.

A Denver police spokesperson told The Denver Post that no one was injured in the Friday incident that took place at West Ninth Avenue near Acoma Street. According to the police department, a window at the campaign office was shattered.

A campaign official confirmed those reports, and indicated that no staffers were injured in the attack.

The Obama campaign has more than 30 field offices across all of Colorado — a major contested state in advance of the November election.

Denver, of course, is the site of the most recent high profile gun violence tragedy — with the shooting in Aurora that left 14 dead and dozens injured.

It was also the site of the first presidential debate between Mitt Romney and President Obama.
