Colorado Officer Charged With Felony for Brutal Arrest

Aurora, Colorado police officer John Haubert has been charged with a series of felonies following the violent arrest of Kyle Vinson, CBS News reports. Body camera footage shows Haubert pointing a gun at a compliant Vinson, hitting him in the head with a pistol, and holding him by the neck for at least 40 seconds. Vinson cried out multiple times during the arrest and stated that he could not breathe. Haubert is on leave without pay. A second officer who was at the scene, Francine Martinez, also faces misdemeanor charges for failure to intervene and is on leave with pay.

Pfizer Data Suggests Third Dose Boosts Protection Against Delta Variant

According to ABC Chicago, Pfizer data suggests that a third dose of the pharmaceutical company's COVID-19 vaccine can "strongly" boost protection against the Delta variant. The data, which included 23 people, found that people between the ages of 18 and 55 who received the third dose had antibody levels against the Delta variant that were fivefold compared to those who had received only two doses of the vaccine. The data has not been published or peer-reviewed.
