Spike Lee is doing the right thing — he’s apologizing.

The legendary film director apologized to the McClain family after re-tweeting their address believing it was the address of George Zimmerman, who murdered unarmed 17-year-old teenager, Trayvon Martin. Lee has 250,000 followers and hundreds of people descended upon the wrong household as a result

“I deeply apologize to the McClain family for retweeting their address,” Lee tweeted. “It was a mistake. Please leave the McClain’s in peace. Justice in court.
