Ted Nugent Threatens President Obama

Rocker Ted Nugent and his reputation for wild antics has overstepped a boundary of sorts when the conservative firebrand took aim at high profile members of the Obama administration at the National Rifle Association convention. The Romney-backer, musician, NRA board member, and Tea Party figure encouraged an NRA audience over the weekend to help oust the current administration. “If Barack Obama becomes the president in November again, I will either be dead or in jail by this time next year,” Nugent said, according to a video posted on YouTube by the NRA.

“If you can’t go home and get everybody in your lives to clean house in this vile, evil America hating administration, I don’t even know what you’re made out of.” Nugent made accusations that called members of the Obama administration — including the vice president, attorney general, and secretary of state — “criminals.” This is not the first time Nugent has vividly espoused his viewpoints. In fact, the NRA’s website has a section strictly dedicated to some of his most raucous statements, including a profanity-laced comment and threat sentiment directed at then candidates Obama and Hillary Clinton during the last election cycle.

When word got back to GOP presidential nominee Mitt Romney about Nugent’s comments, his spokeswoman Andrea Saul said, “Divisive language is offensive no matter what side of the political aisle it comes from. Mitt Romney believes everyone needs to be civil.” Yea, we bet.
