Last Thursday’s episode of MSNBC’s “The Cycle” found talking head Toure boldly asserting that the Romney campaign was engaging in the “niggerization” of President Obama. Toure made these remarks in response to the Romney campaign attempting to paint Obama as an angry Black man.
While the sentiment behind the remark remains true, Toure later admitted he could have used a better term, and apologized. In a short statement, Toure said, “I muddied the discussion by using the ‘n-word’ and I could’ve made the same point without it. I shouldn’t have used it and for that I’m sorry.”
