Dwight Boone-Doty, 22, was charged Monday night in the execution-style murder of nine-year-old Tyshawn Lee.

In November of 2015, Lee was lured into a South Side alley while walking to his grandmother’s house around 4 p.m. on Nov 2. It was then that Boone-Doty persuaded him into the alley and repeatedly shot him in retaliation of an on-going gang war.

The Chicago Tribune reported that Doty was charged with two murders- the second involved the fatal shooting of a 19-year-old woman killed weeks earlier in relation to the gang conflict. According to police authorities, he is already in custody on unrelated gun charges.

Boone-Doty is a known member of the Black P Stones, a longstanding gang that was birthed on Chicago’s south side.

Murder charges were filed against Corey Morgan, 27, in late November for his connection to the crime. Kevin Edwards, a third suspect, currently has a warrant for his arrest in relation to the brutal murder.

Charges for Boone-Doty will be detailed in a news conference, scheduled for Tuesday, officials said.
