W. Kamau Bell went to some extreme lengths to tackle the always uncomfortable, often dangerous, topic of race in America for his new CNN docu-series, United Shades of America.  Here he talks with our head of digital editorial, Kyra Kyles, about sitting down with members of the Ku Klux Klan, one of whom doesn’t even want his Skittles mixing in color.

In this clip of our interview, Bell discusses the struggles that Blacks and Latinos face, as well as what he learned from encounters with incarcerated Americans.

The show airs on Sundays on CNN at 10 p.m. EST/PST. More about it HERE.
