A White woman echoing the words of President Donald Trump berated a California man and his mother for being Mexicans, a viral video shows.
A video originally posted online on Saturday shows a woman harassing Esteban Guzman, 27, by sticking her middle finger in his face and calling him a “rapist.”
“Why do you hate us?” Guzman asks the woman in the video that’s been seen over 5 million times on Twitter. “Because you’re Mexicans,” she says.
When Guzman, an American citizen, tells her that he and his mom are “honest people,” the woman says that Mexicans are “rapists,” “animals” and “drug dealers.”
A friend, Esteban Guzman sent me this video of a racist white woman harassing him while out working with his mom.

If those words sound familiar, it’s because it’s the same type of rhetoric espoused by the president.
When Trump announced his campaign for president in June 2015, he infamously said that Mexicans immigrants coming into the U.S. were bringing in drugs and were rapists.
“When Mexico sends its people, they’re not sending their best. They’re not sending you. They’re not sending you. They’re sending people that have lots of problems, and they’re bringing those problems with us. They’re bringing drugs. They’re bringing crime. They’re rapists. And some, I assume, are good people.”
During a White House meeting last month with California leaders who oppose the state’s sanctuary cities, Trump said that immigrants coming into the country from Mexico are animals, according to USA Today.
“We have people coming into the country or trying to come in, we’re stopping a lot of them, but we’re taking people out of the country. You wouldn’t believe how bad these people are,” he said. “These aren’t people. These are animals.”
The unidentified woman cites the president during her verbal assault on Guzman.
“Even the president of the United States says you’re a rapist,” she said.
Guzman told CNN’s Don Lemon on Monday that he confronted the woman after she told his mother, who recorded the exchange, to “go back to Mexico.”
“I said, ‘Hey, what’s your problem?'” Guzman told Lemon. “And she says, ‘You’re all illegal. Go back to Mexico.’ And I say, ‘I am a United States citizen. What are you talking about?'”
Guzman was born and raised in Southern California and is a systems administrator who does landscaping and construction part-time.
He told CNN that he’s never seen the woman before and that he was at the house to do landscaping work.
Guzman posted the exchange on Facebook on Saturday and expressed his feelings about being called a rapist and a drug dealer.
“You don’t know what it feels like to be hated so much. I can take all the racial slurs they can throw at me. However, when they start yelling at my mother, that’s another story,” he wrote. “We are honest, hardworking, and respectful people.”
“When I stood up for my mother, I stood up for everybody that is scared to speak up,” Guzman told Lemon. “I stood up for the little people. For the people that don’t have a voice in this country.”
