Brandon Mitchell, who was known as Juror 52 during the Derek Chauvin trial is the first juror to break their silence. In an interview with CNN, Mitchell said that the trial was extremely dark and every day that they had to watch George Floyd's murder unfold on felt like a funeral."

“It was just dark. It felt like every day was a funeral and watching someone die every day," the 31-year-old basketball coach explained. “We weren’t watching the news so we didn’t know what was going on. We were really locked in on the case, there was so much stress."

New York Post Reporter Resigns After Writing Fabricated Kamala Harris Story

New York Post reporter Laura Italiano announced her resignation Tuesday after alleging that she was forced to write a fabricated story about Vice President Kamala Harris. The story claimed that migrant children were given welcome packages that contained copies of a 2019 children's book written by Harris titled Superheroes Are Everywhere. In actuality, a single copy of the book was donated by a member of the public following a call for gifts for unaccompanied migrant children. “Today I handed in my resignation to my editors at the New York Post,” Italiano tweeted Tuesday. “The Kamala Harris story – an incorrect story I was ordered to write and which I failed to push back hard enough against – was my breaking point.”

President Joe Biden is set to propose a $1.8 trillion dollar plan to Congress that will include $200 billion allocated to free universal pre-K, $109 billion to two free years of community college, $46 billion for HBCUs as well as tribal colleges and universities, $225 billion for a national family medical leave program, and $225 billion to subsidize child care, just to name a few. According to Associated Press, Biden intends to fund this endeavor by introducing a $1.5 trillion tax hike on the wealthiest of American taxpayers.

According to Paper Magazine, Issa Rae's record label Raedio is set to release an original comedy album titled The Read based on the popular podcast hosted by Crissle and Kid Fury, which bears the same title. The unique project is slated to be produced by Rae, Raedio President Benoni Tagoe, Alex Rago, Crissle, and Kid Fury.
