A Florida woman is facing a felony charge of aggravated battery after throwing scalding hot water into her former supervisor’s face.

The New York Daily News reports Jondre Thomas was fired from her job at a truck stop on Friday after being accused of stealing money from her workplace. After being terminated, the 33-year-old confronted a supervisor whom she accused of being behind the firing, telling him: “you’ve been trying to get rid of me.”

Video surveillance shows Thomas throwing the water in Claudio Salcedo’s face before he runs after her and the two begin to fight. He endured second-degree burns and an eye injury as a result of the attack. Thomas left the scene of the incident but was later arrested by police.
