Wyclef to Perform at Republican National Convention

In what may come as a shock, Wyclef Jean, the former Fugee, is reportedly scheduled to perform at a Got Your 6 show during the Republican National Convention in Tampa, Fl.

Apparently, Jean wasn't the first choice for Got Your 6, a military veterans group. Country crooner Willie Nelson was scheduled to perform until he dropped out. Randy Travis was on tap to entertain the crowd until his rather untimely arrest for driving while intoxicated–and naked.

Jean, a self described "Obama groupie" who performed during President Obama's 2009 inauguration, will share the stage with co-host Meghan McCain, leading many to theorize that this may very well be a Republican attempt to rock the (youth) vote.

Unless Wyclef had a sudden change of heart with his Obama groupiedom, perhaps this move is a sign that instead of Republican or Democrat, Wyclef really leans money green.
