Richard Sherman to Be Released Without Bail

Following his arrest earlier this week stemming from a domestic incident at his father-in-law's home, a King County judge ordered that Richard Sherman be released without bail under several conditions, ESPN reports. Per the terms of his release, Sherman has been ordered to refrain from contacting his father-in-law, using alcohol and nonprescription drugs, and possessing a firearm. The judge referred to Sherman as a "pillar of the community'' and noted that his release was linked to the fact that this is his first arrest.

"I love and support my husband," said Sherman's wife, Ashley Moss Sherman, in a statement after the hearing. "I am committed to helping Richard get the support and care that he needs. Richard has always been a loving father and husband. And we are looking forward to seeing him at home with his family.''
