The nail line “powered by girlfriends” Julep celebrates talented women on the silver screen with new Julep Oscar Collection! The insider-favorite dedicates seven new colors to a few of this year’s Oscars best actress nominees including The Help star Viola Davis, The Iron Lady star Meryl Streep and Glenn Close, star of Albert Nobbs. The line also shows love to actresses not nominated this year including Rachel Weiss, Marisa Tomei, and Elizabeth Olsen.

Viola Davis’ special dedicated vernis ‘Viola’ is a regal deep purple hue that would be especially gorgeous on Davis’ flawless mocha skin. Davis has been increasingly considered quite the burgeoning fashion darling for her bold color choices in gowns. I was particularly impressed, okay mega-wowed by Davis’ head-turning Emillio Pucci worn at the Golden Globes where she was nominated for best actress for ‘The Help’ (And wasn’t she outfitted for the style gods in her recent LA Times spread?).

The dress seemingly inspires Julep’s palate for the ‘Viola’ — the Pucci gown was also a deep purple shade. I wonder will Davis rock her new namesake polish as a lucky charm? But with her chops, I seriously doubt she needs it!
