Paula Smith, owner of the company Stickatude.com, has been catching flack since her bumper sticker “Don’t Re-Nig 2012” went viral. Smith claims that the anti-Obama campaign sticker was not a reference to the President’s ethnicity, saying, “It’s simply meant to say he’s a bad leader.” “According to the dictionary [the ‘N’ word] does not mean Black. It means a low down, lazy, sorry, low-down person. That’s what the ‘N’ word means,” Ms. Smith says.
“I’m not a racist,” she decries, alluding that she doesn’t like President Barack Obama for reasons that are unrelated to his race.
She’s not serious, is she? Is she really expecting people to believe that she didn’t see an opportunity for a cute little racist pun?
