The legendary maquillage queen Pat McGrath is looking for new talent to join her team, and she’s holding a casting call at The Makeup Show in New York City on May 6-7. Considered the world’s most influential makeup artist, McGrath has often dazzled us with her iconic beauty creations that she conjures for haute fashion magazines and international design juggernauts, such as Prada, Valentino and Dolce & Gabbana. And just know before she graced us with Pat McGrath Labs, her eponymous cosmetics line, the visage visionary translated her fashion-forward face-paint for the likes of CoverGirl, Max Factor, Dolce & Gabbana and Dior to name a few. Simply put the grand visionary of visage has turned the beauty world on its head with her far-reaching beauty trends and heavy-duty sway.

Lovingly referred to as “Mother,” McGrath can spot talent a million miles away and often mentors and nurtures up-and-comers, such as Jessica Ferrelli and Nika Kislyak, that she discovers on Instagram. And, she considers the Makeup Show as yet another avenue for her to turn up new creatives. She’s looking for a wide range of makeup artists of varying skill sets: those who have runway and editorial shoot experience; those who are media influencers who have the precision for creating highly engaging social media content and how-to videos; as well as those with strong product development knowledge or who have a passion for makeup education and teaching.
