Pattie fans rejoice because the “Godmother of Soul” is back.

From The Bluebelles trio to R&B Balladeer to Broadway starlet, Pattie LaBelle has catered to the music landscape in such a way, that her voice transcends across every sound. Miss Patti’s Christmas, which dropped in 2007, highlighted as her last album — until now.

After a 10-year hiatus, the 50-plus year music veteran released her first studio album and first-ever Jazz project, Bel Hommage via her label imprint GPE Records. In partnership with Sony Red, Bel Hommage debuted at #2 on Billboard’s Top Current Jazz Albums and Current Traditional Jazz Albums charts and closed out the top ten on the Independent label chart. She currently sits at #3 on the Amazon Jazz chart, and #8 on R&B.

The project features an array of Jazz and American favorites featuring singles, “The Jazz In You,” “Moanin’,” and “Moody’s Mood for Love” featuring KEM. “I’ve been saying for years that I was going to record a jazz album, but I hadn’t taken that leap of faith to try something different,” shared LaBelle. “Now I’m so happy that I did because I really love all of these songs and I pray that everyone else will too!”

Apart from music, LaBelle has become a culinary household name for her Good Life foods imprint with Walmart, which reached momentous levels after “Patti LaBelle Sweet Potato Pie,” was greenlighted by mega-fan James Wright via Youtube. Publishing her fourth cookbook, “Desserts LaBelle: Soulful Sweets to Sing About,” while also putting the finishing touches on her third season of the Cooking Channel’s “Patti LaBelle’s Place, Pattie is on the move.

Bel Hommage is available on all traditional and digital retail outlets. Visit here for more info.
