The New York Urban League Young Professionals (NYULYP) had their annual fundraiser REBIRTH! on Saturday April 20, 2013. Every year, the black-tie reception pays homage to the the creative and economic accomplishments of African Americans during one of the most celebrated times in history–the Harlem Renaissance. Held at Manhattan's stunning Helen Mills Event Space & Theater, this year's festivities included live jazz, dancing, casino games, prize giveaways and more. Other highlights included delectable hors d'oeuvres and an open bar featuring Hennessy VS-sponsored cocktails. Proceeds from the event were donated to the Whitney M. Young Scholarship Fund for high school seniors who excel academically and demonstrate a commitment to community service. The group is an auxiliary of the New York Urban League which has celebrated over ninety years of service to New York City.
