New York native and sports journalist Ashley Nicole Moss is doing things her way. She's young, gifted, gorgeous and a recent recipient of the coveted Forbes 30 under 30 recognition—something she says she's been manifesting for years. Now residing in Miami, the I Am Athlete podcast and streaming series co-host, works to shift the way women in the sports world are viewed. For her, the key to it all is simply leading and showing up as her authentic self.
"When it comes to sports, I hope that people see me as a trailblazer. I feel like I'm different from what a sports journalist has always been expected to be like, especially women. For me, it's about leading with authenticity," says Moss. "The way I approach sports and even my interviewing style are very authentic to the way I talk sports with my friends. The way I present myself in the industry is authentic to my New York roots. Fashion has always been a huge part of my life, and I make no exception to that in my career."
An average day for Moss can be busy. She starts with quiet time, where she meditates and prays to help set the trajectory of her day. From there, she's getting ready for pre-production meetings before heading to the studio to record her 2-hour daily show. She ends her day with a workout and catching up on any games happening, so that she's well-prepared for her show the next day.

Outside of work, she's like most 30-somethings. She's checking out Miami's bustling food scene with her close friend group, hitting the hottest members-only lounges and popping into the dopest museums and galleries.
"I am a foodie and love trying new restaurants here in Miami or frequenting some of our favorites. I love traveling, shopping and enjoying the beach when I can," she shares. "I also try to get to as many museums as possible. Right now, I'm really into the Pérez (PAMM), they always have cool exhibits or artists showcasing. But overall, I just really enjoy having time away from work to revive my energy and prioritize my peace."
Whether she's taking time to recharge or grinding it out at work, there are a few gadgets and products that help the show host reach her highest level of productivity and creativity. From an old school disposable Fuji camera to her favorite scent diffuser, Moss puts us on to the items that make her life run smooth.
"I love the excitement of taking photos with a disposable camera and not knowing what they look like until you get the film back. I take them everywhere," she reveals. "The look and feel is just so nostalgic, and that's something you can't recreate with an iPhone."
