Officials are investigating an incident in which nine Stockton, Calif., police officers were caught on video using apparent excessive force while arresting a 16-year-old boy for allegedly jaywalking.

A complaint was filed Thursday by the teen's family over the incident, which a witness recorded and posted to YouTube. The witness, Edgar Avedaño, wrote on his Facebook page that the boy was only two feet from the sidewalk, and that the boy was hit with a baton. A Stockton police spokesman said the boy was cited for trespassing and resisting arrest.
