This week (June 7), we celebrated Prince Rogers Nelson second birthday since his untimely passing in April of last year. The musical icon continues to move the culture forward despite his absence, which aptly dubs “The Purple One” as a legend. Regardless of his physical presence, his outreach well never go undone.

As fans continue to come to terms with their lost, many celebrate him the only way they know how, through music. Michael Korte and Jared Jenkin, the masterminds behind #HAM4BEY, share their own Prince rendition in commemoration of the mega-star. In a colorful mashup, they combine Prince songs with the Broadway smash hit, The Color Purple, which features vocalists Lolah Brown, Milo Bloom, Emi Secrest, Uri Grey, Kawan DeBose and Sha’Leah Nikole.

From “7” to “Mysterious Ways” to “The Most Beautiful Girl In The World” to “Too Beautiful For Words,” this symphony of rhythm is something you don’t want to miss. Tune into #PURPLE4PRINCE below.
