Diplomats’ rapper Juelz Santana, born LaRon James, was sentenced to 27 months in prison on Wednesday, according to the South Passaic Voice.

James, 36, pleaded guilty to possession of a firearm by a convicted felon and carrying a weapon on an aircraft on March 9.

The cast member of Love & Hip Hop New York turned himself in to authorities on March 12 after a .38-caliber handgun, two live rounds and nonprescription oxycodone pills were found in his carry-on bag.

He was released on bail in April. James and his longtime girlfriend, Kimbella, discussed the ordeal on Season 9 of the reality series. He recently proposed to the reality star during a Diplomats concert in New York.

They Said I Took 2 Long… At least I Know It’s Gonna Last Forever… #MyQueen,” Juelz Santana captioned a photo with Kimbella.

Following the completion of his sentence, he will be under supervised release for one year.

The rapper has yet to comment on his sentencing.
