A tweet sent by Rihanna is often a tweet heard ’round the world. The international pop star has been steadily releasing tidbits of info regarding her upcoming seventh studio album, Unapologetic, via Twitter. Song snippets and a tracklist have all been shared by Rihanna within the last 48 hours. In addition to those audible treats, the music video for “Diamonds,” the album’s first single, will premiere on Thursday on MTV and MTV.com at 6:50p.m. ET. A behind-the-scenes clip of the Anthony Mandler-directed video shows men in riot gear, an armed firefighter and a sultry RiRi alone in a Los Angeles desert.

The Bajan beauty also has a world tour plus several major performances and televised appearances in the works, as she prepares for an upcoming Saturday Night Live appearance. Rihanna has even outsourced feedback as to what her two-song SNL set should be, asking her Twitter followers after releasing album snippets. Select members of the Navi (Rihanna’s legion of loyal fans) who responded positively to the soundbites received retweets from the singer as well.

As far as controversy goes, Chris Brown’s appearance on the new album (as seen on a handwritten Unapologetic tracklist posted by Rihanna) quickly came to the attention of many. However, the shock effect from the collaboration seemed dull in comparison to the former flames’ first post-“incident” joint  remixes for “Birthday Cake.” Aptly titled “Nobody’s Business,” the duet title speaks to the highly publicized following of Chris Brown and Rihanna’s ever-changing relationship.

In addition, Eminem, Future, David Guetta and indie rocker Mikky Ekko also feature on Unapologetic. Look for the project to drop November 19.
