Rihanna sent an encouraging message to Monia, a loyal fan of hers who is currently battling cancer. The young woman shared the news on Tuesday.
“Sis we are all praying for you!” Rihanna wrote in the screenshotted comment. “Your strength and your ability to let the beauty in your spirit shine through, even in the midst of adversity, is tremendously inspiring!!”

Monia has been a fan of the pop star for years. She noted in her Instagram caption that she met Rihanna in 2015. Since then two have interacted heavily on the social media platform.

According to Monia’s feed, this is the third time she has battled cancer. She shared each journey with her more than 10,000 followers.
“I haven’t posted in a while because there was so much going on.. so much pain, so many bad news, just too much. and right in the worst time, she’s there for me,” the cancer patient wrote under Rihanna’s message.
A month earlier, Monia posted a picture from her first night out of surgery.
“I feel like Hazel Grace from the fault in our stars, making oxygen the new fashion statement,” she wrote.
Rihanna’s kindness helped Monia resurface on social media.
