Soon after Harvey Weinstein was discovered to be a Hollywood predator, the industry began purging itself of men accused of various levels of sexual misconduct. This brought to light the current #MeToo movement, which was on full display during this week’s Golden Globes and supported by Cecil B. DeMille award winner, Oprah Winfrey.
Her rousing acceptance speech against sexual assault has lead many to support the “Queen of All Media” in a possible 2020 presidential run. While the talk show legend has plenty of support, singer Seal is calling her out for possible hypocrisy based on a photo he recently shared via Instagram.
The “Kiss From a Rose” artist shared a photo of Winfrey kissing Weinstein on the cheek, along with the caption, “When you have been part of the problem for decades but suddenly they all think you re the solution.”
He added, “Oh I forgot, that’s right…..you’d heard the rumours but you had no idea he was actually serially assaulting young stary-eyed actresses who in turn had no idea what they were getting into. My bad.”
